Unlike the Game Boy Advance's LCD screen which lacked a backlight, the RG34XX boasts a larger 3.4-inch display with a 720x480 resolution, offering a better gaming experience. The device is designed to play games through software emulation, and while exact details on the processor aren't known, it's speculated to be based on the Allwinner H700 chipset.
The RG34XX comes with Wi-Fi connectivity, facilitating online play and streaming PC titles through Moonlight. It also supports Bluetooth for connecting multiple wireless controllers. For those who find the 3.4-inch screen too small, the RG34XX includes a mini HDMI port for TV connection. It also features a USB-C port for charging and two microSD card slots for storing ROMs and its operating system.
This isn't the first time Anbernic has drawn inspiration from Nintendo. Earlier this year, the company released the RG35XXSP, a device inspired by the clamshell Game Boy Advance SP, but with an improved screen, a more capable processor, and a collection of pre-installed ROMs.
Anbernic continues to push the boundaries of retro handheld gaming with its latest release, the RG34XX, combining nostalgic design with modern technology.
