LG Expands Gram Laptop Lineup with AI-Powered Features

LG has introduced new models to its Gram and Gram Pro laptop lineup, incorporating innovative AI-powered features that exceed its current Gram laptops. The new models include the 16-inch Gram Pro, the first Copilot Plus PC in the lineup, and the 17-inch Gram Pro and 16-inch 2-in-1, all powered by Intel's advanced processors and equipped with high-resolution displays, abundant memory and storage, and high-performance GPUs. The AI features, powered by LG AI Research and OpenAI, provide offline and online assistance, and integrate with other services for enhanced user experience. The laptops also come with LG's Gram Link 2.0, facilitating document and file sharing with other devices and enabling call answering through the laptops.

AI-Powered Features

The new Gram laptops come with Gram Chat On-Device and Gram Chat Cloud. The former, powered by a language model from LG AI Research, enables offline features like Time Travel, which allows users to quickly revisit recently accessed content. The latter, powered by OpenAI's GPT-4o, provides detailed and comprehensive responses to inquiries using web-based datasets and integrates with calendar and email services.

Hardware Specifications

The 17-inch and 16-inch Gram Pro models feature 2,560 x 1,600 displays, up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory, and up to 2TB Gen4 NVMe SSDs. The 16-inch models come with Intel Arc GPUs, while the 17-inch model features an Nvidia GeForce RTX4050 graphics card. LG will also introduce the entry-level Gram Book, with a 15.6-inch full HD display, a 720p webcam, up to 1TB of SSD storage, and 16GB of DDR4 memory.

Gram Link 2.0

All new Gram laptops support LG's Gram Link 2.0, which streamlines document and file sharing with other PCs and smartphones running on iOS or Android. It also allows incoming phone calls to be answered through the Gram laptops, eliminating the need to switch headsets or Bluetooth headphones to another device.
