The Vasco E1, similar in design to the Waverly Interpreter, consists of two over-the-ear earbuds designed to be shared between two individuals speaking different languages. Each earbud comes with a magnetic case, which, when connected, allows for simultaneous charging. The earbuds have a battery life of three hours with ten days of standby time. The case also has its own battery, allowing for multiple charges.
The Vasco Translator E1 is designed to be user-friendly. The Vasco Connect mobile app simplifies the process of setting up and using the earbuds. The earbuds can be paired to the app, assigned a name, a color for its LED light, and a default language. Up to 10 E1 translators can be paired, enabling multi-language group chats. The device supports 51 languages, including regional variations of English. A physical volume control is provided, and no subscriptions are required.
The translation process involves tapping the side of the earbud, which activates the talk mode. Once a pause is detected, the translation is delivered in a few seconds to the other paired earbud(s) in the assigned language. The other person can then respond in the same manner, creating a continuous conversation flow.
The Vasco Translator E1 is transforming the way we communicate across language barriers, making multi-language communication more accessible than ever before. It's not just a device; it's a step towards a world where language is no longer a barrier, but a bridge.
