The recent Framework event saw little mention of the Laptop 16, with the spotlight shifting to the new Framework Desktop. Both the Desktop and Framework's original 13-inch laptop received the latest AMD processors, leaving the future of the Laptop 16 uncertain.
The only mention of the Laptop 16 was a new One Key Module that will experimentally be available for the Framework community to build their own electromechanical keyboards. The company also shipped its promised M.2 adapter bay in December, which allows for the addition of extra SSDs or other peripherals into a Framework Laptop 16.
Despite the uncertainty, Framework CEO Nirav Patel has assured that they are 'nowhere near done with Framework Laptop 16.' However, he has not confirmed whether the Laptop 16 will see any GPU upgrades or secondary battery additions in the future.
