Dimensions and Design

The Escalade IQL measures 228.5 inches in length, which is about 4.2 inches longer than the regular IQ and an inch-and-a-half longer than the gas-powered ESV. It maintains the same dimensions as the regular IQ, except for its boxier silhouette, which is reminiscent of the ICE versions. The IQL's length surpasses that of other three-row EVs, including the GMC Hummer EV SUV, the Rivian R1S, the Kia EV9, and the Volkswagen ID Buzz.

Interior and Cargo Space

The Escalade IQL's new rear design allows for larger suitcases and more stackable space. It offers 4 inches of additional legroom and an extra inch of headroom for third-row passengers. The IQL boasts a total of 24.2 cu.ft. of cargo space behind the third row and 75.4 cu.ft. with the third row folded flat. This is an improvement from the standard IQ, which offers 23.7 cu.ft. and 69.1 cu.ft. respectively. The IQL also includes an extra 12.2 cu.ft. of frunk cargo space with the Escalade's eTrunk feature.

Performance and Production

The Escalade IQL is powered by a 205kWh battery pack, offering the same advertised 460 miles of range as the regular IQ. It can gain up to 116 miles of range in a 10-minute charge on 350kW DC fast chargers. The IQL, priced at $132,695 including destination charges, will go into production at GM's Factory Zero plant in Detroit starting mid-2025.

The Escalade IQL is a game-changer in the industry, setting a new standard for SUVs with its unparalleled length and spacious design.
