Millington and his team are 100% committed to two main objectives. The first is understanding the root cause of every customer issue, regardless of its size or frequency, and ensuring the app's technical performance meets or exceeds user expectations. The second is closing gaps in the app's functionality and usability, relative to what users enjoyed before the redesign, in a priority order that is as responsive as possible to the feedback received.
Thanks to users who have shared diagnostic information, the team has been able to make several improvements. For instance, users can now snooze alarms and check the battery of portable Sonos Move and Roam speakers when they're in standby. However, the process has been slow, and some features, such as playlist editing and the ability to queue an entire folder from a local music library, are yet to be reinstated.
Despite the slow progress, Millington assures that both playlist editing and the ability to queue an entire folder from a user's local music library are on their way in upcoming releases. This indicates that the team is actively working on restoring these features in response to user feedback.
The team and I remain 100% focused on two important priorities: 1. understanding the root cause of every single customer issue, whether big or small, whether common or rare, and making sure the technical performance of the app meets or exceeds what you have come to expect from Sonos. 2. closing gaps in the functionality and usability of the new app relative to what you enjoyed before, in a priority order that is as responsive as possible to the feedback we receive from you.
